By accessing or using Vidhi Kosh ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Vidhi Kosh is a personal recipe management application that allows users to capture, organise, and plan meals. Features include AI-powered recipe extraction from URLs and social media links, meal planning, family sharing, and a smart shopping list.

Google Sign-In

You may create an account using Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and all activity that occurs under it.

Accurate information

You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. We reserve the right to suspend accounts found to be providing false information.

One account per person

Accounts are personal and may not be shared or transferred to another individual.

Automated extraction

Vidhi Kosh uses Google Gemini AI to extract recipe data from URLs and page content you provide. AI extraction is not perfect — extracted ingredient quantities, steps, or cook times may be inaccurate.

Your responsibility

Always verify AI-extracted recipes before cooking, especially for allergens, quantities, and food safety. Vidhi Kosh is not liable for any harm resulting from inaccurate AI-extracted recipe data.

Usage quotas

AI recipe extractions are subject to a monthly fair-usage quota. Quota limits are displayed in your dashboard and may be adjusted over time.

Ownership

You retain ownership of any recipes, notes, and content you create or save in Vidhi Kosh.

License to us

By saving content to Vidhi Kosh, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, display, and process that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

Third-party recipes

When you extract a recipe from a third-party website, you are responsible for ensuring your personal use of that content complies with the original creator's terms. Vidhi Kosh facilitates personal recipe organisation and is not a publishing platform.

Inviting members

You may create a family group and invite others. By inviting a member, you acknowledge that they will have read access to all recipes in the shared family collection.

Responsibility

The family group creator is responsible for ensuring that invited members are authorised to access the shared content.

You agree not to: (a) use the Service for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service; (c) use automated means to scrape or extract data from the Service; (d) use the AI extraction feature for commercial bulk recipe scraping; (e) impersonate any person or entity; (f) introduce malware or disrupt the Service's infrastructure.

Our IP

The Vidhi Kosh name, logo, design system, and source code are the intellectual property of Vidhi Kosh and may not be reproduced without written permission.

Third-party IP

Recipes extracted from third-party sources remain the intellectual property of their original creators. Vidhi Kosh does not claim ownership of externally sourced recipes.

No warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI extractions will be accurate.

Food safety

Recipe data, including instructions for allergens, cooking temperatures, and quantities, may contain errors introduced by AI extraction. Always apply your own judgement and comply with food safety guidelines.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vidhi Kosh and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, personal injury, or property damage resulting from use of extracted recipe data.

By you

You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time.

By us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, without prior notice.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before escalating to formal proceedings.
